Rootstock and Vine has a passion for celebrating and supporting family-owned, small production vineyards that produce wine from organic or biodynamically grown grapes. This means that you get special, unique wines that you won’t find everywhere else alongside all of your usual favorites. This gives you the chance to be adventurous and try new things!

This also means that it’s important to the Rootstock staff and our sommelier to be able to teach our patrons about these wines and present them in the best possible light by pairing them with amazing dishes by our Executive Chef Todd Webster.

Upcoming Wine and Whiskey Pairing Dinners

Want to know what’s in store here at Rootstock and Vine ahead of time? Here are some of our upcoming wine and whiskey/bourbon pairing dinners:

  • March 20, experience Schweiger Vineyards brought to you by friend-of-Rootstock, Andy Schweiger, who will be showing off his family’s esteemed wine varietals produced on their Spring Mountain estate. A ticket will get you into the dinner that will feature Schweiger’s Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, proprietary blend and Port. (And we’ve already gotten our menu—check out the Facebook event page for teasers!)
  • April will feature Holloran Wines and winemaker Bill Holloran who will guide you through their organic varietals from the Willamette Valley. Anna of Rootstock and Vine with Bayard Crawley
  • Once a quarter, our pairing dinner will focus around whiskey or bourbon! For May, we’re set to feature Breckinridge Distillery, a whiskey and bourbon company located in Breckenridge, Colorado.
  • For June, we’ll have Crafted Brands’ delicious boutique wines, with a special treat and guest–Bayard Crawley, their managing partner, joining us. Bayard is pictured here after Anna had the pleasure of meeting him at a wine show at the Botanical Gardens in February.
