Thanksgiving’s Perfect Wine Pairings

We’re offering our guests a Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Menu the week of November 24th. Come delight in the rich and flavorful courses Chef AJ has prepared for this very special menu. 

Dinner is $55 per person, or items are available à la carte in addition to our regular full menu. (Offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and through the weekend, while supplies last.)

The course options are below, with warm, layered dishes that will surely delight any palate during the upcoming holiday week. Plus, What’s a Thanksgiving feast without the proper pairing for each dish? We’ve also included a few recommendations from our team. 

First Course: Sweet Potato Gnocchi Salad w/ Arugula, Cranberries, Basil, Red Onion, Brown Butter Vinaigrette ($12 à la carte)

Poppy Pinot Noir – This is a fruity and light Pinot Noir with Vibrant aromas of raspberries with notes of strawberries, fermented cherries and a touch of macerated plum and mocha toast offer a real invitation for the senses. 

Schweiger Vineyards Chardonnay – Grown at one of the highest planted peaks in Spring Mountain, Schweiger’s grapevines consistently yield golden berry clusters that give the wine notes of stone fruits and white peach throughout every vintage. It’s fresh, crisp, and showcases the minerality of its terrior. 

Second Course: Savory Sage and Sausage Bread Pudding w/ Poached Egg, Thyme Gravy ($11 à la carte)

Baby Barberad’Asti – One of the most popular Barbera d’Asti wines, this is a savory and classic red featuring the Barbera grapes, a dark-skinned wine grape found in several Italian wine regions. It offers a fruity, spicy, cherry-like acidity and soft tannins on the finish. 

Castelo do Papa Gordello – A Spanish white featuring tightly focused lemon and pear scents complemented by deeper melon and peach notes. It’s lively and focused on the palette, offering vibrant citrus and orchard fruit flavors with a gingery nuance that adds back-end spiciness. 

Third Course: Choice of Entrée

  • Cast Iron Lamb Chop w/ Farro; Walnut Pilaf, Sugar Snap Peas, Mint Foam ($24 à la carte)
  • Vanilla Poached Halibut w/ Parsnips, Cauliflower, Turnips, Beet Beurre Blanc ($26 à la carte)
  •  
  • Roasted Goose w/ Chorizo Sweet Potato Hash, Fried Brussels Sprouts, Brandy Demi ($22 à la carte)

Poseidon Chardonnay ( Pair with Halibut) – Initially shy, the aromas of this Chardonnay from Carneros, California offers an excellent richness while exhibiting attractive brightness. Pear and nectarine are supported by hints of fall spices that build on the palate and linger on the finish.

Hinman Vineyards (Pair with Lamb) – A rich and fruity Pinot Noir with fresh cherry, berry aromas and balanced sweet tannins which give it a velvety mouthfilling texture.

Poggio Scalette Chianti (Goose) – A savory and classic Chianti that offers a freshness of aromas with the Sangiovese grapes that compose the blend. 

Fourth Course:

Cinnamon Dusted Donuts w/ Spiced Pumpkin Puree, Dark Chocolate Ganache ($10 à la carte )

Our retail wine is selected from family-owned vineyards, making them difficult to find or oftentimes unavailable in grocery or big box stores. We’re proud to support winemakers who use sustainable growing methods, which allows us to offer wines with no additional ingredients added.
