CELEBRATE OUR 6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH US ALL WEEK 

As I begin developing the anniversary theme for 6 years of rooted moments, I cant help but stop and daydream about all that has happened in that period of time. All that we have overcome as a business to reach this milestone. Secondly, it is a miracle Sean and I, who celebrated 27 years of marriage in May, have not only managed to build this business as partners, but our marriage has remained strong and our love continues to grow and blossom.

I’ve told this story to all who will listen, but Rootstock and Vine was born from nothing but a pure desire to invest in the community and provide a valuable date night experience to all.  In the beginning, I wanted there to be a wine bar in Woodstock, I wanted there to be a romantic, warm environment, a friendly vibe, and quality dining experience for guests to enjoy conversation and experience connection. I truly didn’t believe I was the one that should be bringing this vision to life…. Sean, my mightier, and much braver half, had different thoughts. He dreamed up the concept and he brought it to life. He (we) overcame massive obstacles to open the doors to Rootstock & Vine in September 2017.

It was an exciting time in the summer of 2017, an enthusiastic buzz was created in the community about a sleek and classy establishment joining the Woodstock food and beverage culture.  Little did we know we would live the next few years for overcoming obstacles. Some came in small packages, like labor issues, effective training programs, balanced budgets etc… others came in catastrophic form, like the COVID 19 pandemic. Lest we not forget the time the sprinkler system activated on a Saturday evening during dinner service and a full restaurant of diners. Through the thousands of obstacles we have overcome, we continue to find joy in all the moments of pure LOVE, QUALITY and DATE NIGHT.

Our business model has been prodded, punched, embraced, cultivated and eventually molded into what we are today! We remain strong with our motto “TRUE TO OUR ROOTS” but the rooted moments now come in many more forms.  From Wine and Tapas in 2017, to a Full Gourmet food restaurant, with select whiskeys, global wine, Live music, stand up comedy, special events (including weddings) crafted cocktails, a private club with secret entrance, the rooftop bar, pairing dinners, tastings and best of all, fundraising charity events.

It has taken immense tenacity to remain strong in the hospitality game. We have to credit our hardworking team of Rootstock employees, who consistently prove they are loyal to the mission, and have been named over and over the friendliest team in the area. Honestly, we are a family, and no one would argue that fact. We support each other and fight for each other daily. We also owe a huge thank you to our community, who continue to support us, encourage us, and embrace us for doing what we do.  It is an absolute honor to provide Woodstock with a place to experience their rooted moments. I never take it for granted that I have the best team and the best community to live out the dream.

What better tag line is there than to “Sip for Six” years of rooted moments. I sure do hope you will all stop by to say hello and sip with us on this week of celebration
